Marcette Kilgore, M.Ed., is the Deputy Director of Career and Technical Education for the Texas Education Agency (TEA). With a career spanning over 30 years in the education sector, Marcette has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing educational opportunities for students. She intentionally focuses on TEA's vision: "Every child, prepared for success in college, a career or the military." Her role is centered on strategic initiatives aimed at advancing this vision. She works to promote high-quality CTE programs of study that bridge the gap between high school, college, and careers. She ensures all students have equitable access to earning relevant, stackable credentials, particularly industry-based certifications. Collaboration with state agencies such as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Texas Workforce Commission aligns workforce strategies to create a seamless transition from education to the workforce.
