The State of CTE: Credentials of Value
Over the past decade, non-degree credentials have become a hot topic not only in Career Technical Education (CTE) but also across the education and workforce development ecosystem. Forty-four states have publicly available lists of industry-recognized credentials used in their states. But how exactly are these lists created, evaluated, and maintained, and what trends exist across states?
This session will feature national leaders and partners to delve into Advance CTE’s newest national policy landscape State of CTE report on trends for state structures and processes for identifying, evaluating, incentivizing, and connecting data to credentials of value. Additionally, attendees will receive a demonstration of supplemental data tools, as well as recommendations for ‘leveling up’ processes no matter what condition your credential system is in!
